Sanín’s painting on display at the new Kinder Building at The Museum of Fine Arts Houston

The Kinder Building, named after the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston patrons Nancy and Rich Kinder, is opening with the first comprehensive installation of the Museum’s collections of modern and contemporary artworks, drawn from the collections of Latin American and Latino art; photography; prints and drawings; decorative arts, craft, and design; and modern and contemporary art. Sanín’s work Acrylic No. 5, 1973 is included in the inaugural exhibition Color into Light, showcasing the dynamic role of color in the work of artists in the United States, Latin America, and Europe. Sanín’s work is displayed alongside works by Kenneth Noland, Donald Judd, Alessandro Mendini, Alejandro Otero, and Hélio Oiticica.
