New Approaches to Fanny Sanín: Women Artists and Geometric Abstraction a Symposium at NYU’s IFA

The Institute of Fine Arts is pleased to present on February 18,New Approaches to Fanny Sanín: Women Artists and Geometric Abstraction, a panel discussion tracing the contributions of women artists to geometric abstraction. Held in conjunction with Fanny Sanín’s New York: The Critical Decade, 1971-1981, a comprehensive solo exhibition exploring the artist’s evolving practice of geometric abstraction during her first decade living in New York City, currently on view at The James B. Duke House, the panel features the presentations and perspectives of leading scholars: Dr. Beverly Adams, MoMA; Dr. Lori Cole, NYU; Dr. Tatiana Flores, Rutgers; Dr. Susanna Temkin, El Museo del Barrio, moderated by Dr. Edward J. Sullivan, vice-Director, IFA.
